One of the good things about Pilates exercises is that it can be done at home when you can’t find time to head to the studio. Having said that you should have some basics of the regime before attempting to practice the movements at home.
Training with a Pilates teacher is a great way to learn. Personally I find that I’ve learned much from an one on one training opposed to a group class. However, it is okay to join a group class after learning some basics in a private class. Working out with like minded friends is a wonderful motivations too. After every class, we will stay back and chat a little and sometimes I’ll pass some life insurance leads to my insurance friend who is an agent. Networking is evident after every class and it’s nice getting to know each other.
So if you are thinking of picking up Pilates, try starting with private classes and eventually graduate into group classes which should cost lesser.
