Pilates During Pregnancy

It is exciting for me to learn that my Pilates instructress is expecting a baby! Even though she is expecting, she’s still active in her classes and she was telling me that she would be doing that till the time closer to the birth of her baby.

We were discussing our pregnancies and babies as she had been having some morning sickness in the last few weeks. Her doctor had advised to take some prenatal vitamins to keep her health in check and to supplement her pregnancy. The nice thing about Pilates is that it can be carried out even when you are pregnant, with the guidance of a professional instructor, of course!

When I was expecting my boy, I was doing some Pilates on the ball and mat… it had certainly helped me with my breathing. So since, I have encouraged those expecting to pick up Pilates with a Pilates instructor as this can help keep the mom to be healthy and fit throughout her expectancy.
