Pilates can improve immune system

Now that I am hooked on Pilates, I’m thinking of advanced levels to challenge my body and increase my flexibility. I took a break from class yesterday due to some family errands so can’t wait to get back to another reformer session next week.

The Mat class last week at Stott wasn’t that fantastic as some movements seem a bit awkward. I sometimes wonder if that is Pilates at all. With the current H1N1 pandemic, more people are seeing the need to get insurance quote for their families to ensure maximum protection from illnesses and avoiding high medical costs.

Pilates is a great exercise that can help strengthen the immune system in the long run when done regularly. What is good about Pilates is that it can improve your breathing if that is something new for you. Personally it has done much for me and I can feel that my lungs can expand better over these few months. For that reason, I will continue with my Pilates classes for a long time.
