Pilates can be cardio

Opposed to what some people think, Pilates can be a cardio activity if it’s done with intensity. Doing the workout intensely doesn’t mean that you do it fast but you can increase the repetitions.

As a matter of fact, I got really tired after the intermediate/advanced mat workout last week. The exercises required a certain of strength to carry out and I was having some difficulty in the beginning. For the first time, I experienced the toughness in Pilates mat workout but it was great. I had to be more aware of my breathing and I was also taught that my breathing could help me with some advanced workouts. I had underestimated that.

I’m looking forward to another pilates drill tomorrow before heading to the store to upgrade my pc memory for my notebook. Pilates is such a great workout but it is unfortunate that some people think that it is too low and boring. I suppose they have yet to experience the intensity of Pilates fitness.
