I had the privilege to visit another Pilates centre yesterday while seeking for a rolfing therapy for my back problem.
It was a nice rolfing session and I was glad that I had taken the step to give it a go. At first, I thought that it would be something like a thai massage since the description states that it is a deep tissue massage. But after a 2 hour session, I can conclude that it is not a thai massage. Rolfing is especially helpful for pilates students who have back injuries or problems.
My first Rolfing session had taught me how to breathe. Basically I was taught to expand and open up my rib cage when I breathe in and out. Most importantly, I was drawn to the important principles of body awareness.
After that, I visited a plant nursery before heading back for a rest. I’m all ready for another Pilates class tomorrow!
