Summer is a great place to gather close friends around and enjoy a nice pot luck dinner. If you fancy the sun while the kids get out to play, a picnic by the beach or in the park will be just as great too.
We are invited to a summer housewarming party in a couple of weeks’ time. Interestingly, this is going to be a pot luck (BYO) housewarming party! Yes, it’s an invitation that requires everyone to bring a dish. I can imagine the faces of the older folks when receiving a housewarming invitation like this but for us, it’s pretty fine. Moreover, it’s an invitation from a close friend. This is probably just the right occasion for me to whip out my paella pan since the housewarming theme is on ‘Oranges and Yellows’!
