Last friday night, we arrived in Tokyo after a few hours flight from malaysia and a short one hour transit in Hong KOng. I can’t believe I’m here now in Tokyo!
First all of all, I’m so glad the room we booked in Shinjuku is nice. Though it’s not in the heart of Shinjuku, I like the fact that the apartment is new and the one bedroom apt we booked is so spacious! There is broadband connection in the room and thus, we don’t need to worry if they have a Linksys router, all we do is plug in the cable and just connect! In the next few days, I won’t have any internet access so that will be a challenge for me cos I have things to do and assignments to finish.
Then again, this is our vacation so I should really take it easy and not work so much! That’s it for now and more reports to come!

I’m gearing up for our yearly family vacation tomorrow - what a long wait! Since early this year, I had begun my planning and I’m so glad that it’s finally here!
Weeks before our travel date, DH was already getting our travel medical insurance ready - something he’s in charge all these years. As for me, it’s getting the itinerary ready, conduct travel research, gather ideas and book all our hotel accommodations.
This is the time of the year where alot of families travel and spend time together. It’s a time of break and rejuvenation. As the saying goes, “All work and no play makes jack a dull boy” so I hope you too find some time for a real break before the year comes to a close…

More and more people are choosing alternative medicine and homepathic remedies opposed from pharmaceutical drugs for their health conditions. Whatever you decide to choose, always do your research first and find out the ingredients of the product you are planning to consume.

I know of people who opt for pills for diet to get rid of unwanted fats and pounds. You may have read about stories of women falling sick from certain weight loss products. Always consult your doctor is you are unsure about the weight loss product you are taking especially if you have any illness or health condition. Otherwise, it is always good to exercise caution and consider the more natural ways to lose those extra pounds.

A year ago, I was all geared up for our family cruise in the Hawaiian waters. Looking back, it was an unforgettable experience - one which I will treasure for a very long time! Though it was a short 7 day cruise in and about the Hawaiian islands, I do hope to do the Alaskan or Mediterranean cruises one day.
This year, there won’t be any more cruises or helicopter rides like previous year. We are holidaying in two major cities of the world and it will be a different experience for the family. We have always done scenic holidays but this time, it will be urban but equally adventurous. I’m seriously needing a break after so many things have happened in the last few weeks… can’t wait for our yearly vacation!

I have to admit that I am a convenient cook. In other words, don’t expect me to whip up complicated recipes from a cookbook cos I’ll make a mess out of it!
I used to buy lots of cookbooks until I become more savvy on the web. These days, searching for online recipes is so easy. You can search for a bbq recipe to a cocktail one, everything is within reach at the click of a mouse! Years ago, I recalled buying a paella pan just to cook a spanish party dish… it was challenging! But if you are that sort who aren’t going to go through the process of whipping up cuisine recipes, why not try out some lean cuisine meals?

Last week, we had our last workshop for the year and I was glad to practice some of my photography skills on that day. Since purchasing my Nikon D80, I have been enjoying photography and infact, I’ll be starting my first photography lesson tomorrow! Yay!
While I’m tempted to add another 18mm - 200mm VR lens to my photography lens kit, I’m reminded by my other half on the current economy slowdown. Some people got so anxious that they are wondering how they can withdraw from their term life insurance rates or unit trust deposits. Perhaps it may be the time to check out some digital freebies and if you are keen on a new camera you may stand a chance to win a Nikon DSLR too! See below!

There have been a few travel fairs in the malls lately. Despite the global economy meltdown, people are still traveling and life still goes on as normal. Perhaps there is a cut on travel budget for most and people will be more savvy in their travel choices.
I’m shopping for a Samsonite luggage this weekend for our family vacation since there are special offers in the travel luggage stores. I’m one who believe in good luggages to avoid any inconveniences and unexpected mishaps. A good luggage stays with you for a long time so it’s advisable to pick a quality one.

When I was a growing teenager, I used to pester my mom for Seiko watches for my birthday. For whatever reasons, I like the design and style of Seiko. But as I grow up and mature in age, I realize that my tastes and preferences are not the same anymore.
Digital watches were so popular during our time. Everybody likes the precision of digital numbers of watches especially when it was coupled with stopwatch features…etc. But these days, watches have gone luxury to higher class of designs and you can find all kinds of styles that cater to all kinds of age groups. Perhaps it’s no longer the digital that appeal but it’s the glitters and diamonds that determine the classes of all individuals now.

Ever had that feeling that your body is going to crash? This is exactly how I’m feeling right now. I am having a bad cold and yet, I’m trying to finish up some urgent assignments before I can recharge this tired body!

I’ve been popping Vitamin C pills throughout the day or maybe I should get myself a bottle of orovo for an ultimate boost! All I want is to get well the next couple of days before my workshop on Thursday. There are so many things I need to do like finding out more about reseller web hosting and testing out some e-commerce solutions at Datafeedr. For now, I’m hurrying off to finish some work and head straight to bed to get some rest.

I just got news that my good friend has given birth to a eight pounder baby - what a joy! Months before the arrival of the baby, they were shopping for all the baby essentials and baby products. Then they were talking about a new digital SLR after learning about my Nikon D80. Like many parents who like to capture memories of their bundle of joy, they were planning to buy a video camera too!
I’m enjoying my Nikon D80 every day though I can’t wait to pick up more digital SLR photography tips from my expert friend. Right now, my little one has been my faithful model and I look forward to snap more nature shots in the great outdoors. It looks like I would need a video card for our video camera before our family vacation.
